I’ll Be Here
Lusus!Reader and Grub!Gamzee
“Damn the Grand Highblood and all who follow him.” I grumbled, shaking as more rain thundered down from the fern tops. Even though my fur was thick, the cold sea spray was chilling, soaking me from nose to tail.
Wiping away at the water trailing down my muzzle with a muddy paw, I tried seeing through the storm’s curtain, faded shadows looking over me in the night. Large sand dunes blocked most of what I could see, but of course, they would only lead to the water’s edge. Nothing really mattered nowadays, not one squat as I continued my unforgiving journey.
Life was practically meaningless without a grub to care for. We were built to protect and raise young trolls, because that’s all we’re really good for. Other then food sources… A life of solidarity was painful and dull, but that’s how it is when I screwed up and accidentally got my poor grub killed. It stings to think about him, my failure to save his small life.
And now what was I to do, but walk to Alternia’s end and fall off into the abyss of space. There was nothing left for me to do, except wander in exile from everything I once had and loved.
“Scree!”
I stopped moving through puddles, perking my ears to the sound I just heard, as mud oozed under my paws. Surely it was just my imagination. No way I just heard-
“Screeeee!!”
Maternal instinct kicked in, helping me lunge over the dunes and race across the beach Yes, that was a grub’s terror-cry! I stood watching large grey waves slam and rumble against the shore, white foam bubbling in a frothy rage. The black sand chipped into my pads like razors, but I shoved that aside, scanning the area for one specific purpose.
There, in the waves being tossed about, was a young grub, ever so young and vulnerable. He was screeing and crying, trying to swim out to sea for some gog-aweful reason, but the water was way too rough, and it was dragging him down under.
“Hold on!” I tore into the water, large paws flailing against the freezing surges as I got closer and closer to him. At first, he was petrified by my presence, but then he got knocked under the surface by a rip current, causing him to choke on the salty liquid and screech louder to me for help. I was scared that I wouldn’t get to him fast enough…
I let my body go slack, letting the water take me close enough to grab him, gently snatching his body in my jaws and turning back to shore. His little legs dug into my gums, and he was freaking out about the water, but I kept my jaws clamped down around him so he wouldn’t fall out.
Out of the water, heaving with exhaustion, I crouched down with my tail curled, placing the grub down in my make-shift nest as I examined him for injuries. The poor thing was shivering an coughing, big purple tears rolling down his grey chubby cheeks and –
Wait, purple?!
I went slack jawed. No freaking way….A royal color, a Highblood grub, felt alone to die on a beach? What was Alternia coming to?
“Oh you poor thing, where is your lusus? And why were you in the water??”
The little fellow looked up at me, pitifully flailing his little nubs for attention. Leaning down, he grabbed my nose, tickling it enough to make me sneeze. Giving a giggle, he started looking me in the eyes with curiosity, shimmering like gems. He sure was a cutie, even with those long horns and horrid blood color.
“Little man, you’re coming home with me.” I said, leaning down closer around him in a protective manner. He seemed scared by this, staring back out to see with tears pooling. Poor baby, his lusus must have abandoned him here. Left to die alone and frozen in the waters, probably even dragged under by a sea-dweller.
“Don’t worry dear, I won’t leave you. I’ll keep you safe.” Letting him climb up on my neck, he held onto the scruff there as I started off to the woods again. With one look back behind at the stormy sea, we disappeared into the foliage, keeping mostly to the thicker bush to keep most of the water off of us. “Shhhh. Ignore the rain, we’ll be out of it soon. And when we get home, I’ll get you nice and clean.”
As we were walking, he started to play with my oversized ears, nipping at their ends playfully. “You silly little clown you!” I laughed, flipping them down as he laughed and purred. I started honking as I took each ear and got the tip to touch his nose. “Honk! Hahaha!!”

I'll Cheer You Up (Sollux x Reader)
TRIGGER WARNING: #swearing (not even but oh well) #slight OOC
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Striders don't cry. They don't show weakness. But right now, you couldn't hold back your tears. You sat on the floor, leaning against the bed allowing the tears to flow down your cheeks.
You have been struggling to cope with your depression as it has taken its toll on you in the past few weeks. Today was probably the worst though. You had found out that your crush, Karkat Vantas, had asked Terezi Pyrope out instead of you. Terezi, knowing you like Karkat and not really taking a fancy to you, decided to shove it in your face. (Reader x Cheater!Sollux) Pinkie Promise
False love
"_______... I'll love you. No matter what, I'll be with you until the end." Sollux said, stroking your face. You smiled. "So will I, Sollux. I will never abandon you. I promise."
He smiled back.
"Nor will I, _______. I promithe."
You both locked pinkies.
--Five years later...--
You stood behind Sollux, hand still on the doorknob. You couldn't utter a single word as you witnessed your boyfriend and this other girl from your same university in your bed with barely any clothes on. He and the girl were kissing each other all over and they didn't seem to notice your entrance. You finally managed to make a word.
"Y-you..."
"Gaaaaaaaamgaaaaaaaaaaaam-"
Your name is ___ ___, and you have a tendency to call your moirail, Gamzee Makara, Gamgam.
Well, or Gamgam with various amounts of stretched vowels.
You and he were at the park, and, as far as you were concerned (what, being on a swing and all), he was nowhere to be found.
"Yeah bro?" Gamzee's call answered you.
You looked around your environment:
Trees, bushes, grass for miles, a sidewalk, children playing on slides n shit...
No Gamzee.
"...ARE WE DOING HIDE AND SEEK AGAIN?!"
"Maybe. (o:"
"Goddamnit-" you muttered, hopping off the swing you were on to look for your clown-of-a-moirail.
You, right away, s
